Healing Hands with Hair by liliribs
Healing Hands with Hair
Before Frozen, there was Tangled. Which, in my humble opinion, it much better than Frozen. I enjoyed Frozen, but enjoyed Tangled much more. Anyway. . .

I wanted to do some low lighting practice, and this scene was just what I was looking for.

No using without permish. Seriously. I've got scary lawyer friends.

Sunday Characters by liliribs
Sunday Characters
I crowd sourced some ideas for characters to draw this past Sunday. These were the first 5 suggestions. Can you guess who they are??

Almost There! by liliribs
Almost There!
I've been meaning to draw something from Disney's Princess and the Frog for ages. This whole sequence was exactly my style. So beautiful and perfectly stylized.

Please don't use without permish.

I love creating art! I wish there were more hours in the day to devote to my artistic endeavors. When I'm not sketching away or working at the computer, I'm living it up with my awesome husband Jeff and our equally as awesome toddler, Penny.

We love living so close to Washington DC, there is constantly so much to do and see, not to mention all the tempting restaurants and eateries.

Currently I'm a freelance designer and illustrator, and seriously it is the best job in the world for me.

What you will see on my gallery here is mostly my sketches and doodles and artistic musings that I do to blow off steam or get the creative juices a-flowing before I delve into my work. After all, my fanart needs a home too, right?

Hey friends-
My very first journal entry, how very exciting! And what also is exciting is everything on society6.com has free shipping!  While I only have a few humble pieces up at the moment, take a look at my selection if you so desire!

Here's the link: society6.com/LiliRibs?promo=18…

I just ordered my very first print of my own, and it turned out awesome!  They do a stand up printing job over there.  Now, to find a good frame...

Hello, Lili!

I love art so much, and I would be thrilled if I could have an artistic career once I am older. Though I still have quite a bit of time to figure out what I'd like to do, I have considered being a freelance illustrator. I'd like to see how it works for others. Does freelancing work for you, and is it as good as a full-time job? What kind of degree might you need? Do you find your job satisfying? What kind of jobs might a person take on as a freelancer?

(Sorry for the rush of questions! You're a great art role model, though, and I would really appreciate if you could answer one or two of my questions! Thanks!)
